Make a Life, Not Just a Living

“I don’t know if I’m burned out, grieving, or in the wrong job.”

Ask Samantha: When work feels harder after loss, how do you decide what needs to change?

My mom died four months ago and ever since then work feels incredibly difficult.

I’m slower than I used to be, I have less patience, things that would normally feel manageable now feel so incredibly overwhelming.

I’m starting to wonder whether I need to leave my leadership role because I simply don’t have the capacity for it anymore but the same time, I don’t know whether I actually hate my job or whether I’m just exhausted and grieving.

How can I tell the difference?
